Female Outreach Night Time Support Worker (Pan London based from Lambeth)

Job Purpose
The Beth Centre and LEA project operates an outreach van supporting women engaged in on-street prostitution in known ‘working’ areas. The aim of the van and this service is to encourage women to come into the service to address any of their potential needs and issues.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
1. Outreach Van Support Work
1.1 To be main Support Worker on the outreach van
1.2 Provide support and advice services to women who access the outreach van
1.3 Have excellent understanding and be able to give basic advice around
housing/welfare benefits/social services/criminal justice system
1.4 To promote a climate of understanding so that women feel able to
voice anxieties, needs and concerns
1.5 To obtain feedback from the women on what they want from the
outreach van
1.6 To be a key member of the night outreach team
1.7 To establish and maintain good working relationships with other
members of The Beth Centre/LEA Project
1.8 To develop knowledge of the known and new areas where women are
involved in prostitution pan London
1.9 To support the Beth Centre/LEA Drivers and volunteers whilst on the
shift
1.10 To keep an accurate account of the number of clients seen
1.11 It is desirable that the Support Worker has a clean driver’s license to
cover the driver’s leave.
